Keary Taylor is the independent author of Branded, Forsaken, Vindicated (Fall of Angels trilogy), and Eden. She lives on Orcas Island in Washington State with her husband and their two children.
The long version:
I grew up the oldest of 5 girls in Utah. All growing up I loved to write, composing lots of poetry, "music lyrics", and an epic 250 page Harry Potter fanfic with my best friend. I graduated high school, married the love of my life 7 months later and started figuring out what life was about. Soon after we had our first child at the end of 2007 we moved to the place my husband grew up, Orcas Island, WA. The move was hard on me, being so far away from my family and a place that was so different from where I grew up.
And so I started writing again to help me deal. And I never stopped.
Three and a half years later, here I am, 24 years old, with two kids, an amazing husband, 4 books under my belt, and an amazing life.
I am currently unagented and unsigned. I do all the work myself from cover design, to marketing, to PR. It's a lot of hard work and I put in endless hours but thankfully, if you stick with something, it eventually pays out and the satisfaction is amazing.
